NWG214 TNW Green-Core Polymer Membrane-Based Molecular Adhesive Waterproofing Sheet

  • Details

This product is composed of a high-performance resin material as the base layer, laminated with a reactive self-adhesive adhesive through a special process. The self-adhesive adhesive contains proprietary additives, such as active agents and water-absorbing agents, which enhance the adhesive’s creep properties while retaining the advantages of traditional self-adhesive adhesives. Through wet installation, it forms a “physical adsorption and chemical cross-linking” bond with the concrete, ensuring a strong adhesion between the membrane and the substrate and creating a fully enclosed, watertight waterproofing layer.

Example: 20 m², 1.5 mm, high-strength grade, double-sided adhesive TNW green-core polymer membrane-based waterproofing membrane is labeled as:

Wet-Lay Waterproofing Membrane GB/T 35467-2017-H D 1.5-20

  • It bonds exceptionally well to concrete substrates, forming a strong, sealed waterproof layer that prevents water penetration and effectively blocks liquid water and water vapor from entering the structure;
  • High tensile strength and high elongation, with strong adaptability to expansion, contraction, and cracking of the substrate;
  • It has low substrate requirements and can be applied to damp surfaces, which helps save time;
  • Combining the high strength, high elongation, and weather resistance of polymers with the creep resistance and excellent sealing performance of reactive sealants, it achieves multiple layers of waterproofing protection;
  • It offers excellent dimensional stability, effectively preventing wrinkles and bulges that often occur after installation.

  • Wet-Lay Installation Process:

A construction method for bonding self-adhesive membranes using cement slurry or cement mortar solves the challenge of installing membranes on damp substrates.

  • Construction Process Flowchart

  • Requirements for Grassroots Units

The substrate must be level and firm; remove any protrusions from the substrate. If the substrate is dry, thoroughly wet it until it is saturated; construction may begin once there is no standing water.

  • Preparing Cement Slurry

Mix thoroughly in the mixing bucket using an electric mixer at a weight ratio of cement to water of 1:0.3–0.5. When preparing the mixture, first pour the water into the bucket, then add the cement. After soaking for 10–15 minutes, pour off the excess water that has risen to the surface, and then begin mixing. The resulting cement slurry must be uniform, with no sediment or lumps.

  • Installation Instructions

Roll the sheet from both ends toward the center. At the halfway point of the roll’s length, use a wallpaper knife to gently score the release liner from the center, taking care not to cut through the sheet. After positioning half of the roll, grasp the end of the peeled-back release film and pull it back evenly with steady force, unrolling and applying the material as you go. As you apply the material, be sure to roll it down firmly and remove any air bubbles. The roll must be laid tightly and adhere securely to the substrate. Use a roller to compact the overlapped sections.

Applications

Suitable for waterproofing, moisture-proofing, and seepage-proofing projects on basement floor slabs, side walls, ceiling slabs, and non-exposed roofs of buildings. Particularly suitable for projects where open flames are prohibited.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation

  • Packaging: Sealed in special packaging film.
  • Storage: Products of different types and specifications should be stored separately and should not be mixed. Protect from direct sunlight and rain, and ensure adequate ventilation. The storage temperature should not exceed 45°C. When stored flat, rolls should be stacked no higher than three layers; when stored upright, they should be stacked in a single layer only. Under normal storage and transportation conditions, the shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.
  • Transportation: Prevent tilting or lateral pressure; cover with a tarp if necessary.
