QQC-973 Cross-Laminated Reactive Adhesive Polymer Waterproofing Membrane

  • Details

This product is a polymer waterproofing membrane manufactured through a special process that laminates cross-laminated, high-strength film with a reactive self-adhesive.

Product Structure

Product Categories

Polymer membrane-based waterproofing membranes are classified into high-strength (H-class) and high-elongation (E-class) types; the polymer membrane may be located on the surface or in the middle of the membrane. Products are classified by adhesive surface as single-sided adhesive (S) and double-sided adhesive (D).

Specifications and Dimensions

Thickness: 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm; Width: 1000 mm; Nominal area: 15 m², 20 m². (Other specifications may be agreed upon by the supplier and the buyer.)

Code Marking

Class H – High-strength; Class E – High-elongation; S – Single-sided adhesion; D – Double-sided adhesion.

Example: 20 m², 1.5 mm, high-elongation type, double-sided adhesive cross-laminated film, reaction-bonded polymer waterproofing membrane is labeled as:

Wet-Lay Waterproofing Membrane GB/T 35467-2017-E D 1.5-20

Product Features

  • Adhesion: The adhesive has exceptional adhesive properties and bonds quickly to concrete to form a sealant layer;
  • Workability: It has minimal requirements for the substrate and can even be applied on damp surfaces, making it particularly advantageous during the rainy season;
  • Environmental Friendliness: Safe and environmentally friendly materials; no open flame required; causes no environmental pollution; saves energy;
  • Water-Resistant Properties: With superior adhesion and self-healing properties, it can contain leaks caused by external forces within a certain range, making them easy to locate.

Construction Methods

  • Wet-Lay Installation Method: A construction method that uses cement slurry or cement mortar to bond self-adhesive membrane rolls, solving the challenge of installing membrane rolls on damp substrates.

The substrate must be level and firm; remove any protrusions from the substrate. If the substrate is dry, thoroughly wet it until it is saturated; construction may begin once there is no standing water.

  • Preparing Cement Slurry

Mix thoroughly in the mixing bucket using an electric mixer, maintaining a cement-to-water ratio of 1:0.3–0.5 by weight. When preparing the mixture, first pour the water into the bucket, then add the cement. Let it soak for 10–15 minutes, pour off the excess water that has risen to the surface, and then begin mixing. The resulting cement slurry must be uniform, free of sediment, and free of lumps.

  • Installation Instructions

Roll the sheet from both ends toward the center. When you reach the halfway point of the roll, use a utility knife to gently score the release liner from the center, taking care not to cut through the sheet. After positioning half of the roll, grasp the end of the peeled-back release film and pull it back evenly with consistent force, unrolling and applying the material as you go. As you apply it, be sure to roll it down firmly and remove any air pockets. The roll must be laid tightly and adhere securely to the substrate. Use a roller to press down firmly on the overlaps.

Applications

Suitable for waterproofing, moisture-proofing, and seepage-proofing projects on basement floor slabs, side walls, ceiling slabs, and non-exposed roofs of buildings. Particularly suitable for projects where open flames are prohibited.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation

  • Packaging: Sealed in special packaging film.
  • Storage and Transportation: Products of different types and specifications should be stored separately and must not be mixed. Protect from direct sunlight and rain, and ensure proper ventilation. The storage temperature should not exceed 45°C. When storing rolls flat, the stacking height should not exceed

For more than three layers, store vertically in a single layer only. Prevent tilting or lateral pressure during transport; cover with canvas if necessary. Under normal storage and transport conditions, the shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.

Performance Metrics

Applicable standard: GB/T 35467-2017 "Wet-laid Waterproofing Membranes."
