This product is a waterproof mortar manufactured by mixing cement and fine aggregate—its primary components—with a polymer emulsion or redispersible latex powder as a modifier, along with an appropriate amount of additives. It is referred to as JF Waterproof Mortar for short.
JF—Polymer-modified cementitious waterproofing mortar; S—Single-component; D—Two-component. Products are classified into Type I and Type II based on their physical properties.
Single-component (Class S): Consists of cement, fine aggregate, redispersible latex powder, additives, and other components.
Two-component (Class D): Consists of a powder component (cement, fine aggregate, etc.) and a liquid component (polymer emulsion, additives, etc.).

Substrate Preparation: The substrate must be solid, clean, level, damp, free of oil, and free of loose dust; any defects in the substrate, such as pores or cracks, must be repaired and smoothed out in advance with cement mortar; inside and outside corners must be rounded to a semicircular shape.
◎ Water-to-mix ratio: Add clean water to the waterproof mortar and mix until a uniform paste is formed. Water-to-mix ratio for brushing: 22–23 kg/100 kg; water-to-mix ratio for troweling: 21–22 kg/100 kg.
◎ Application Method: First, apply a 1.0 mm layer with a brush. After it dries, apply a 1.0–2.0 mm layer with a trowel (wait approximately 3–6 hours between applications), for a total thickness of approximately 2.0–3.0 mm. Inside corners should be finished with a 45-degree bevel; fabric reinforcement may be added. To prevent the waterproofing layer from drying too quickly during application, water should be sprinkled promptly for curing. After both coats are applied, cure for at least 24 hours (by sprinkling water, using a wet straw mat, or covering with plastic sheeting).
◎ Recommended coverage: When applying a 1.0 mm-thick layer of waterproof mortar, the coverage is approximately 1.7–1.9 kg/m².
◎ To prepare the adhesive slurry: liquid : powder : water = 4:20:1; the amount of water can be adjusted as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
Add the liquid ingredients to the mixing container. First, add the corresponding amount of water and mix until a uniform emulsion forms. Then add the powdered ingredients. Mix for 5 minutes, let stand for 5 minutes, and then mix for another 5 minutes before setting aside.
◎ Applying the adhesive slurry:
Each coat should be applied at a thickness of 2.0–3.0 mm; the final coat should be leveled, compacted, and troweled smooth. The second coat should be applied only after the first coat of mortar has hardened; the surface of the first coat of waterproof mortar must remain moist—but free of standing water—and must not be allowed to dry out. Follow this procedure for subsequent coats. After the final layer of mortar has hardened (typically 24 hours), curing must be performed for a period of no less than 7 days.
Basement Wall Construction: The protective layer is typically 4.0 mm to 6.0 mm thick and is generally applied in 2 to 3 coats.
Basement Floor Construction: The typical protective layer thickness ranges from 8.0 mm to 12.0 mm; it is generally applied in 3 to 4 coats.
◎ Recommended coverage: To apply a 1.0 mm-thick layer of waterproof mortar, the coverage is approximately 1.8–2.4 kg/m².
Suitable for waterproofing in restrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, balconies, sinks, walls, underground foundations, and on the backwater side.
A rigid waterproofing layer used in composite rigid-flexible waterproofing systems. In basement waterproofing projects, rigid waterproofing is not suitable for cracks caused by structural settlement, vibration, or temperature changes.
