NWG222 Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) Waterproofing Membrane

  • Details

This product is a waterproofing material manufactured primarily from chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) resin, with the addition of additives such as stabilizers, antioxidants, anti-aging agents, and UV absorbers.

Product Structure

1. CPE Sheets

  1. Polyester Nonwoven Fabric
  2. CPE Sheets

Product Categories

Products are classified based on whether they have a composite layer: those without a composite layer are classified as Class N, those with a single-sided fiber composite layer are classified as Class L, and those with internal fabric reinforcement are classified as Class W.

Each product category is classified into Type I and Type II based on its physical and chemical properties.

Specifications and Dimensions

Thickness: 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm;  Length: 10 m, 15 m, 20 m. (Other lengths and thicknesses may be agreed upon by the supplier and the buyer; however, the thickness must not be less than 1.2 mm.)

Code Marker

Mark according to product name (code: CPE sheet), exposed or non-exposed use, type, thickness, length × width, and standard sequence.

Example: 20 m long, 1.2 m wide, 1.5 mm thick. Type II, Class L exposed-use chlorinated polyethylene waterproofing membrane is labeled as:

CPE Roll Material—Exposed—L II 1.5/20×1.2 GB 12953-2003

  • High tensile strength, high elongation, and strong resistance to deformation;
  • It offers excellent weather resistance and a long service life; when used as roofing material, it can last up to 20 years, and when installed underground, it can last as long as 50 years;
  • Excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, with a wide operating temperature range;
  • Cold application, pollution-free;
  • The wide width and long roll length provide a large surface area, reducing the risk of leaks at seams.

Using the cold-adhesive method, after the substrate has passed inspection, evenly apply a special adhesive to its surface. While applying the adhesive, roll out the membrane and then press it down to remove any air pockets.

  • Key Construction Points: When installing the membrane, use a specialized adhesive and apply it using the full-adhesion method. The optimal temperature range for membrane installation is 5–35°C; installation should not be performed in windy or rainy weather. Longitudinal overlaps should be 100 mm, and transverse overlaps should be 150 mm. The transverse seams of adjacent rolls should be staggered.

Applications

Suitable for waterproofing and seepage prevention projects on roofs, underground structures, tunnels, subways, bridges, and more.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation

  • Packaging: The rolls are wound onto a rigid core and packaged in plastic bags or woven bags.
  • Storage: Products of different types and specifications should be stacked separately and must not be mixed. Protect from direct sunlight and rain, and ensure adequate ventilation. The storage temperature should not exceed 45°C. When stored horizontally, the stack height should not exceed five layers; when stored vertically, stack only one layer high. Do not allow contact with acids, alkalis, oils, or organic solvents. Under normal storage and transportation conditions, the shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.
  • Transportation: Prevent tilting or lateral pressure; cover with a tarp if necessary.
