QQC-060 Three-Dimensional Multicolored SBS-Modified Bitumen Waterproofing Membrane

This product is a multifunctional waterproofing material featuring a filament polyester felt substrate, coated with high-quality SBS-modified bitumen using internationally leading specialized production technology, and topped with colored mineral granules to create a variety of patterns with a strong three-dimensional effect.

Code Marking

Mark in the following order: product name, model number, tire base, top surface material, bottom surface material, thickness, area, and this standard’s number.

Example: A 7.5 m² (2) Type I three-dimensional multicolor SBS-modified bitumen waterproofing membrane with an area of 7.5 m², a thickness of 4.0 mm, a top surface of colored mineral granules, and a bottom surface of a polyethylene-film-backed polyester felt is labeled as:

 Product Features

  • The mineral granules are made of high-temperature sintered ceramic sand; they feature vibrant colors that never fade, are resistant to dust accumulation, and bond firmly to modified asphalt;
  • Highly decorative, available in a wide variety of colors, and can be freely matched with any exterior wall color;
  • With a strong sense of depth, diverse patterns and shapes, and elegant, crisp lines, it has a highly three-dimensional appearance;
  • Easy to install, highly effective at preventing water penetration, and combining waterproofing with decorative functions—one layer is equivalent to three, reducing the number of construction steps and shortening the project timeline;
  • It is easy to maintain, which significantly reduces both the overall construction cost and maintenance expenses.

Construction Methods

  • Hot-Melt Method

A construction method in which the underside of the membrane is heated and melted using a heating tool to bond the membrane to the substrate or to another membrane.

  • Requirements for Grassroots Units

The substrate must be level, clean, and firm, with no peeling or sanding; its moisture content must be less than 9%. Then, apply a primer evenly to the surface of the substrate and allow it to dry completely before proceeding with installation.

  • Installation Instructions

Use a heat gun to evenly heat the underside of the membrane and the substrate. Once the asphalt on the surface begins to melt and takes on a glossy black appearance, lay the membrane while continuing to heat it, and compact it with a roller. Be sure to adjust the flame size and speed as needed. After installation is complete, seal the edges with sealant. Fill the areas where the sealant was applied with colored sand matching the original pattern and compact it to ensure a cohesive finish.

Areas of Application

Suitable for roof waterproofing and finishing in industrial, residential, military, and other buildings.

   

  • Packaging: Sealed in special packaging film.
  • Storage: Products of different types and specifications should be stored separately and must not be mixed. Protect from direct sunlight and rain, and ensure adequate ventilation. The storage temperature should not exceed 50°C. When stored upright, products must be stacked in a single layer; during transportation, they may be stacked upright in no more than two layers. Under normal storage and transportation conditions, the shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture.
  • Shipping: Prevent tilting or lateral pressure during transport; cover with a tarp if necessary.
