NWG231 EVA Waterproof Sheet

This product is a homogeneous waterproof sheet made from EVA resin as the raw material, with various additives such as reinforcing agents, antioxidants, and aging agents. It is manufactured through a process of heating and melting, plasticization, extrusion, and cooling via roller calendering. Geotextile slings can also be bonded to its surface to form a homogeneous waterproof sheet with integrated slings, which is primarily used in tunnel waterproofing projects.

Thickness: 0.5 mm or greater;

Width: 1.0 m, 1.2 m, 1.5 m, 2.0 m, 2.5 m, 3.0 m;

Length: 20 meters or more.

Code Marker

JS2—Resin-based homogeneous sheets; EVA—ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

Products are labeled in the following order: type code, material (abbreviation or code), and dimensions (length × width × thickness).

Example: Length 20.0 m, width 1.0 m,   and a thickness of 1.5 mm is labeled as: JS2-EVA-20.0 m × 1.0 m × 1.5 mm.

Product Features

  • High tensile strength, high elongation, and high resistance to deformation;
  • It offers excellent impermeability and good chemical stability, and is resistant to oils, acids, alkalis, and salts;
  • It has good resistance to high and low temperatures and a wide operating temperature range;
  • It is relatively soft, easy to weld, and produces good results during installation;
  • It can produce wide-width rolls, reducing overlap waste, speeding up construction progress, and helping to meet tight deadlines;
  • With strong anti-aging, UV-resistant, tear-resistant, and puncture-resistant properties, it is suitable for waterproofing and seepage-control projects such as land reclamation and artificial lakes.

Construction Methods

The hot-air welding method is used. For large-area applications, the mechanical crawling welding method is used; for detailed work, the hot-air welding method is used; and for localized repairs, the extrusion welding method is used. In tunnel and subway projects, the sling method is commonly used, in which two rolls of sheeting are aligned along their longitudinal edges and then suspended from a fixed

Key Construction Points:

  • Conduct a test weld: Perform a test weld before construction begins to determine the travel speed and welding temperature;
  • Clean up debris promptly: During construction, debris should be cleaned up frequently to keep the work area clean;
  • Ensuring Weld Quality: When using hot-melt double-seam welding, the lap width shall be ≥100 mm, and the effective width of the weld shall be no less than 10 mm;   For single-seam welding, the lap width shall be ≥60 mm, and the effective width of the weld shall be no less than 25 mm;
  • Pay attention to pressure adjustment: The pressure of the welding machine directly affects the quality of the work. If the pressure is not appropriate during the welding process, the machine must be shut down for adjustment;
  • Construction temperature: 5–40°C. Construction is prohibited during rain or when wind speeds reach Force 5 or higher.

Applications

Suitable for waterproofing and seepage prevention projects in tunnels, subways, bridges, landscaping, water features, and artificial landfills.

Packaging, Storage, and Transportation

  • Packaging: Rolled material should be coiled around a rigid core and packaged in plastic bags or woven bags.
  • Storage and Transportation: During storage and transportation, care must be taken to prevent damage to the packaging. Store in a well-ventilated, dry place; stacking height should not exceed the height of five flat rolls of sheeting. When stacking, place the rolls on a dry, level surface, avoid direct sunlight, prevent contact with acids, alkalis, oils, and organic solvents, and keep them away from heat sources. The storage period should not exceed one year.
